It’s still Easter week and I wanted to show you what the dolls do for Easter. So here is a photo story about what Easter is really about:
“Wake up everyone!” Miranda cried, “Get your Easter dresses on so we can go to church! Christ is Risen!”
“He is risen indeed, alleluia”….replied a sleepy head Kit groggily.
“Come on, you can say it with more energy! Jesus rose from the dead today!”
“Okay, okay, He is Risen indeed! Alleluia!”
“That’s better, now you can come eat what is just coming out of the oven.”
“Mmmm! Easter breakfast! That looks great!” said Addy.
Samantha, Jacky and Addy started to sit down and eat their breakfast.
“Wait! Don’t eat just yet!” said Molly, “We shouldn’t eat anything until everyone has heard the Easter story!”
The dolls all gathered around the tea table as Molly got the Bible out and read the story of how Jesus, the Son of God, was put to death on a cross and carried everyone’s sin on himself, but because he was perfectly sinless himself, death and the devil could not touch him, and he rose from the dead three days later. Since he carried all our sins he saved us from death also.
The dolls thought about the Easter story as they ate breakfast, and when they were finished, Chloe said, “You know, that story changes everything about our lives. I mean, the fact that we are not going to die is a powerful thought! So whatever we do in our lives is not meaningless. Because if we were going to just stop existing after we die, what would be the point of living? What would be the point of what we do with our lives? Knowing that we are God’s children and knowing what He has done for us gives us purpose: that we should live our lives how God wants us to live; in a close relationship with Him. I feel a great desire to do just that, simply because of what He did for me on Easter! And I want to tell everyone that their lives aren’t pointless either! God wants to be close to everyone!”
“Yes!” said Sara, “I totally agree with you! That’s how we should be everyday! Not just on Easter!”
After church, the dolls walked home and had lunch. Some of them had took lunch outside on the deck.
The Magic Attic girls had tea inside:
All of them thanked God for what he has done for us on that wonderful Easter Sunday.
Christ is Risen!
He is Risen Indeed! Alleluia!!
