Dolls and Their Pets

It’s Heather,

There have been complaints in the doll room that I”m ignoring certain family members in my blog posts and photos. The complainers, however, are not humans or dolls! They’re animals! So I thought we would include them in their own special post! In no particular order, here are the little animals the dolls have roaming around the room:

Meet the newest dog, Roxy, the mini white Poodle (is this a poodle?)

Chloe picked this dog from a church rummage sale. She was in with a pile of purses! Chloe heard the animal yelping and dug through the purses to find her! She’s a cute and fashionable little dog (just like her owner) that loves to be carried in Chloe’s chic gold purse. (Probably why she got lost in the purses to begin with!)

The newest member of the animals is Ginger, the cat.  Henriette is a Kidz n Cats doll, but since she is a custom made whunschpuppe ( “wish doll” from Germany) she did not come with a cat herself.  I found this cat at the Ludington Beach house souvenir shop and gave her to Jacky.  Jacky has always wanted a cat to go on adventures with, but Ginger only wanted to eat and sleep on anyone’s lap.  So when Jacky heard Henriette was coming without a cat, she decided to give the cat to Henriette who was very pleased.

The oldest animal is Samantha’s dog, Jip.  Jip has been living here for over 20 years! If you read Happy Birthday Samantha you will discover how Samantha and Jip met and the great New York adventure they had.

Speaking of reading, if you’ve ever read The Boxcar Children you’ll know why Molly’s dog is called Benny! Benny was the youngest sibling and tended to get into trouble but was always helpful in solving any mystery.  Benny the dog is the same, but in a backwards way; he is helpful cleaning up any food left lying around but tends to get in trouble when that food that had been lying around a few minutes for a doll got eaten by a dog!

The favorite animal amongst all the dolls is Carlie’s dog, Coconut.  He is a mischievous little fellow and is very much like a little brother, always wanting to do whatever the dolls are doing. As you can see, he wanted to celebrate Valentines Day just like everyone else and when he discovered he had not been featured in a blog post he started chewing the bed sheets!

Now you have officially met the little animals in the doll room. Hope you enjoyed it!

Haha, Coconut looks like a hamster. I’m actually surprised there aren’t more cats Jacky 😉
